Why Donald Trump's plans for Venezuela will fall flat
While talking to the media aboard Air Force One, U.S. President Donald Trump said he felt inclined to leave ExxonMobil out of the equation for Venezuelan Oil. On par with many people’s predictions, the kidnapping operation of Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro was more about bringing oil oligarch to a round table to discuss how they’re all going to get rich from Venezuela’s oil, while you pay for the military they use to do it.
Essentially, Donald Trump is seeking to colonize Venezuela for the purpose of extracting their oil. For various reasons, this simply won’t work. And of course, once he asked people even remotely informed on the matter, they told him like it was. Darren Woods, the CEO of ExxonMobil, the largest U.S. oil company, told AP “it’s uninvestable.”
The struggle for oil in Venezuela is less about political tensions, and more about the physical arrangement of said oil within the earth. In layman’s terms, the oil in Venezuela, albeit abundant, is so deep in the earth, it arguably costs more to extract than you could ever generate in revenue from it.
Like many other ventures in Trump’s life, his only insight into whether or not this would be a good long term investment, is that he’s involved. However, outside of running for President, Donald Trump has failed at almost everything he has tried. But when he’s wasting his daddy’s money he inherited, he can continue to fail with no impact- in his personal capacity. Unfortunately for people such as myself and you in the U.S., Trump is going to fail and it’s going to impact us all. Instead of working out a deal with Venezuela, these barbaric don’t wannabe-European settlers follow their instincts, and steal.
As education, childcare, and other social services receive cuts, this dunce is going to establish the largest military budget in history. Simultaneously, the Chair of the Federal Reserve is being investigated for refusing to do Trump’s bidding. This comes immediately after a jobs report that showed that the U.S. only added around 50,000 jobs in the last quarter of 2025. Trump is in panic mode, as he should be. The country is plummeting, the GOP is nearing a split due to Israel, and he is running out of lies to tell to his aliterate base.
Similar to Trump’s vision of what would happen if he were to fight Biden, the U.S. is going down fast and hard- while most of us dance in the delusional gifted by the insulation of empire. If you have a Trumper in your life, break the hard news to them that the President is completely lost, and is going to bankrupt the country like he’s bankrupted nearly all of his previous businesses.
